 I personally believe Digital Marketing should be one of the school subjects.

Just imagine kids competing to rank their websites higher and higher. Schools encouraging this will really shape a country of smart kids as this is the only field that will make every kid think ,implement and see the results on their own. It’s like big Game.

It’s not a big deal to let the kids learn this field as now a day’s every kid learns to operate the smart phone inside the mommy’s womb itself.

Why not making our kids smarter! Let them get into the market race from the time they enter the school competition. 

If honorable Mr. Modi wants India to be Digital this is the best step he could take to educate every single kid with the importance of  being Digital . This would surely contribute at wide array of getting a cashless environment.

So here in this article where every parent and student can understand what actually is this field about.

What is Digital marketing

Got confused with the technical definitions!

Don’t worry here’s a simple definition for you…

In normal sense marketing is about making people aware about your services or products that you are willing to sell .But the favored twist is you will be doing this sitting at your home operating a system that will make you reach millions of users around.

Think before you read further.

 OK it’s simple to answer!

Google god will shower you with the best quality tutorials that most of the people are referring.

 Then what you do is you will click on the first 2 to 3 links and then start surfing accordingly.

SEO is all about this!

The first links that you see in the SERP (search engine result page) are all what Google finds valid, Quality enhanced and user friendly.

So the study in which the digital marketer puts effort to rank his website to Google God’s first page is called SEO. Its free one don’t need to pay for this but strongly work harder to get the organic ranking or listing ( organic ranking is naturally given by Google considering all its standards ).You will not pay anything to get the traffic on your website.

You need to build a website considering all the rules and regulations that are mentioned in Google’s webmaster guide. Then only you will be capable to rank it.

     Social media marketing

Every one of us is social media marketer.

We keep on marketing every single emotion we dwell in over here.

Even if you eat chocolate you post the story for it.

Why this all happens because all we love is being engaged digitally.

Thus SMM is the best platform where you can share with people about your offerings within no time.

Post can be anything a written note of your offerings or the graphically designed poster or even you can upload a small video as well.

You can create good image of yourself making people to follow you passionately.  

It’s a very simple part to understand.

Everyone loves to be on the social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, Instagram and many more.

SEM is same SEO with difference that in SEM what you do is you pay Google to advertise your website on the first four link spaces.

If you type anything in Google like download games online. You get the list of the options and the first 4 links you could find will be having a “ad” symbol in front of it. It means they are the websites that Google is marketing of.

Making the concept simpler to understand.

When you pay Google to market for yourself it’s called Search Engine marketing because the search engine markets for you. It’s a form of paid advertising.

PPC (pay per click)

It’s like posting your ad poster on someone else property.

Have you seen the latest movie posters or any advertisement of brand or hotel around your city and these posters keep on changing periodically.

And the one whose ads are being displayed will pay the space owner to display his ad based on the time.

PPC is same like that.

You will pay Google to display your ad and if the user clicks the ad you will pay Google on basis of that.

Thus when user clicks your advertisement you will have to pay Google a small amount for that visit.

Marketing your services through emails is email marketing.

You can write a beautiful email describing everything you provide and reach many users at a time.

But the issue here is that there is a less possibility that people read this emails.

Emails used to be old trend of communication. Although all the formal communications are being initiated by emails now also. So there are chances that you can deliver a lot from this type of marketing as well.

There are numerous tools that are available to get emails list but then you will have to sort the data.

Affiliate marketing

It’s commission based marketing. You become a digital sales person for marketing someone’s product and behind every sell you get a commission.

For example you have someone who wants to sell his cosmetic products. Then you can take the pictures of those products and promote it on the social media platform you are comfortable with it. The main thing is you engage people with that brand of product and eventually people then buy it.
